Baptist Health Foundation Awards Scholarship

The Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio has awarded a $25,000 grant scholarship to San Antonio College. The financial gift was recently presented to SAC President Dr. Robert Vela by Cody S. Knowlton, President and CEO of the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio at the Foundation's office.  

The Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio funds health education that prepares "tomorrow's healthcare providers and leaders" by annually providing scholarship grants to eligible students who reside and are attending local universities, colleges, and schools in Bexar County and its adjoining counties service areas.  

insetBHFSA scholarship grants provide tuition assistance to undergraduate, post graduate, and doctoral students earning an education in the approved academic areas related to health and health related careers. 


The five programs at SAC whose students are eligible to be considered for scholarships are:

  • Dental Assisting
  • EMT-Paramedic
  • Human Services - Addiction Counseling
  • Medical Assisting
  • Nursing

To be considered for the Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio Grant Scholarship, students must apply through the Alamo Colleges Foundation online scholarship website at:  http://ehse20.6030lu.com/foundation/scholarships/  during the open application period.

The scholarship awards will be applied toward the selected recipients' SAC tuition
